Maurine Ligon was a nationally-known New Castle Delaware artist working in the mid twentieth century. I bought several sculptures that came from her estate. This one, one of her friend Lillian is particularly beautiful. Maurine was quite an eccentric. She loved her collie, Lady so much she had herself buried beside her!
