    We have seen several examples of this colorful artist's work and this one is     quite typical.  Alleroux was known for his nostalgic depictions of children       and young  women set against the environs of late-nineteenth century Paris.     His work has remained popular and just a few years ago a somewhat             larger example similar to this one auctioned for upwards of $5000.
