John Wright Oakes

John Wright Oakes was an associate of the Royal Academy and an honorary member of The Royal Scottish Academy. In addition, he exhibited at the British Institution, the Society of British Artists, and the Royal Institute (previously called the New Water-coulour Society. He was well-known for his landscapes and shore paintings.
