Jean Isy de Botton

     French born de Botton studied at the Ecole de Beaux Arts in Paris from 1920 to 1924.  He researched the various movements of the School of Paris and was much influenced by the work of Cezanne.  He enjoyed great success during his career exhibiting throughout the world and receiving important commissions.  Multi-talented, he designed the ballet The Triumph of Hope which was performed by the San Francisco Opera House.   He eventually settled in New York City and became a US citizen.
